Design, Application and Engineering Evaluation of Cathodic Protection Technologies in Petroleum and Natural Gas Industries
Conference Subjects
To analyze and summarize existing problems of cathodic protection on oil/gas pipelines in recent years; and to discuss advantages and disadvantages of technologies applied in engineering practice. Following subjects are included:

Design of technologies in petroleum and natural gas industries;
Application and disadvantages of cathodic protection technologies on underground and submerged metallic structures and storage tanks;
Research progress of new materials for high performance galvanic anodes;
Performance and electrochemical behavior of galvanic anodes in special environments;
Development of impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP);
Protection of steel reinforced concrete structure;
Effects of in-use cathodic protection technologies.

Official Conference Language:
The official conference language is Chinese and English. Speaker may choose either language as preference. Translator and script translation of the other language will be provided.
Dress Code
In consideration of the possible weather in Xi’an in August, there is NO dress code for this conference.

Travel Visas & Letter of Invitation
If you need a visa to attend the Cathodic Protection Xi’an 2010 conference, then apply it one to two months ahead of your departure date. The Chinese regulations now require a letter of invitation in hand, and maybe security check, for most visitor visas. Visa applicant needs to go to the visa office of a Chinese embassy personally or entrust a relative/friend or travel/visa agent to acquire the visa, which may result in a process that may take one to two months or more. General information on the Chinese Visa application process is available through the website of Chinese embassy in applicant’s resident country. Information on Chinese visa application and procedures for U.S. citizens is available from the Embassy of China in the USA.
